Adeola Asabia Counselling & Psychotherapy is a private counselling practice based in Surrey, offering individual therapy for adults dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
The practice needed a professional website that would do several things simultaneously: reflect the warmth, safety, and expertise of the therapist; communicate clearly to potential clients what the practice offers and how it works; and convert visitors, many of whom might be reaching out for help for the very first time, into enquiries and bookings.
I designed and built the full website on Squarespace, taking responsibility for every aspect of the project from site structure and navigation to visual layout and copywriting across all pages. A key focus of the work was developing a brand voice that balanced clinical professionalism with genuine human warmth, essential in a sector where the tone of communication can directly influence whether a vulnerable person feels safe enough to reach out.
The headline “You hold it together for everyone. Who holds the space for you?” was written to speak directly to the experience of people who present as capable and functional on the outside while struggling privately, a common profile among people seeking counselling for the first time. It was designed to create immediate emotional recognition and make the reader feel seen before they had read another word.
The result was a clean, responsive, professionally designed website that clearly communicates the practice’s services, values, and booking process while maintaining the sensitivity and warmth appropriate for a mental health context.
